Everyone knows that Title is one of the most important tags of them all and probably the most effective also. After link popularity Title is the most important factor that can affect your rankings in search engines. A well written and optimized Title is the key to success.

But if you are new to search engine optimization then it would be very hard for you to write a well optimized Title tag. Here are 5 tips that will help you to write an optimized Title -

[1] Try to use your 2-3 most important keywords in the Title Tag, but make sure that it still remains enticing to your users, if it is not enticing then no one will click through.

[2] Use your most important keywords first in the Title tag and use less important ones after that. [3] Make a Title tag that talks to your targeted traffic rather than filling it with keywords, use this tag efficiently such that it appeals to your visitors but still presents your important keywords. As an example:

In the above tag I used my primary keywords - search engine optimization, search engine optimization services and search engine optimization India, but still it looks enticing and says to the visitors that we offer seo services in India.

[4] Always try to use a Title tag within 60 characters including spaces, you can also exceed this amount sometimes because search engines count each and every keyword in this tag. So I would recommend that you use a Title between 60-80 characters.

[5] Avoid using the same Title Tag throughout your site. Try using a unique Title Tag for each web page and use keyword phrases that holds theme relevance to that page.
